How does the YES Watch work?
A YES Watch is, to say the least, one of the more interesting timepieces on the market. The philosophy behind YES watches is this: The 24-hour day, seven-day week, 12 month year that we all schedule our lives around is a useful, but somewhat unnatural construct devised by man to help impose order as human activities became increasingly more complex.
The traditional societies of our ancient past measured time according to more natural rhythms including the rising and setting of the sun as well as the seasons, harvests and phases of the moon. A YES Watch reconnects its wearer with those natural rhythms graphically displaying accurate daily data for the rising and setting of the sun and moon as well as the relative lengths of daylight and nighttime ad the current phase of the moon.
That isn’t to say that you can’t tell regular time with a YES Watch. You can tell time very well…and count it up with the 24 hour stopwatch, or down with the 9999 day countdown timer. The YES Watch can also give you the time in 538 cities around the world and automatically adjusts for daylight savings.
