eWatches offers free sizing (Removal of links) on all watches that can be sized outside the factory (Some Bulova 14 Karat Gold Bracelets are solid gold chains that must be sized by Bulova directly).

Q. How do I know what the right size is?
A. Measuring Your Wrist: Use a tape measure or a piece of paper to measure the circumference of your wrist. Make sure the tape is snuggly fitted around your wrist. After you have determined your wrist circumference, add 1/4 inch for comfort.
Measuring an Existing watch that is already correctly sized: Use a tape measure and place it inside of the watch with the bracelet closed. Expand the tape measure on the inside of the watch until it is snug. Starting at the beginning of the tape, write down the length of the tape where it first crosses itself. In this case, you have measured the most comfortable size and therefore should not add the .25 inches like you did above.

Q. How do I inform eWatches of my sizing requirements?
A. In the shopping cart there is a drop down box below the item you are ordering and below "Bracelet Size In Inches."  Simply select the desired size to the nearest .25 inches. If you are placing your order via telephone, please inform the eWatches.com agent of your sizing requirements. See the picture below for a shopping cart example:

Q. What if there is no drop down box in the shopping cart with sizing information for the watch I have selected?
A. It probably means eWatches can't provide sizing for this watch. This includes all watches with leather and rubber straps. Watches with rubber straps can often be sized, but this may involve cutting off sections of the strap. This is not reversible and we do not provide this service. A small number of bracelet style watches are not sizeable and we do not provide a sizing option in the shopping cart for those watches.

Q. Will you send me the links that were removed?
A. Yes. All of your original links will be sent to you in a zip-lock bag with the watch.

Q. What are the typical standard sizes of watch bracelets?
A. Most ladies watch bracelets come standard at 6.75 to 7 inches and Men's are typically 7.5 to 8 inches. The exception to this are dive watches which are designed for use while wearing a wetsuit. If you request a size larger than this for either a men's or a ladies watch you will experience a delay in shipment, in some cases as long as 3 weeks or more. If you need this gift for a specific date (Christmas, Valentines, etc), do not request sizing larger than 7 Inches for a ladies' watch or 8 Inches for a man's. If we have the additional links in stock we will do what we can, but you will otherwise have to wait.

Q. What if the size I request requires additional links?
A. If additional links are required you will typically be charged for them in the eWatches.com shopping cart. Typically, additional links cost $7.95 per quarter inch. There are pricing exceptions when the links are made from precious metals and we have attempted to capture these exceptions in the shopping cart. In some cases we will inform you of the additional costs before making modifications to your watch.

Q. Can I have my watch sized by a local jeweler?
A. Yes. However, if your watch is sized by someone other than an eWatches technician, you can no longer return the watch to eWatches for a refund or exchange within the 14-day return period. Of course you are still covered by the full original manufacturer's warranty or the eWatches.com warranty where applicable.

Q. What if I receive a watch that is sized differently than I requested?
A. The eWatches.com sizing team makes every effort to size your watch exactly to your specifications. There are some inherent limitations:
1. Sizing to .25 inch tolerance is difficult on some watches because the links are larger than .25 inches.
2. We measure the internal circumference of the watch to match the measurements our customers provide. Sometimes our customers do not follow our instructions and arrive at an incorrect measurement.

From time to time, a watch may arrive sized differently than the customer expected. We provide sizing as a free service, frequently on top of discounts far above what could be obtained in a local retail store. In addition, you will receive all the links we have removed so that further adjustments can be made by a local jeweler if required. eWatches.com will not subsidize local sizing in any form as our professionals do their best to ensure your watch is sized exactly to your specifications.
